More business cards

Some brilliant business cards I have come across

Landor

This is the company that created famous brands such as the the well-praised FedEx logo.

"It's what makes Evian pure even before you read the label. It's why aFedEx envelope gets opened before anything with a postage stamp.
Brand experience is what your customers remember about you. It's what leads to lasting impressions, preferences, and performance. This is what sets Landor's work apart: customer experiences that are not mysterious, but real, tangible, measurable – unforgettable."

There seems to be no end to this graphic design company's repertoire.

One project... Bringing the natural world to The Great Ormond st Hospital.

LONDON (December 17, 2010) - Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) briefed Landor’s London office to provide a theme, naming solution and guidelines for the floors and wards, in order to aid way-finding. The solution needed to engage children of all ages, families, and staff and have long-term appeal.
For over 150 years Great Ormond Street has been and remains one of the world’s leading childrens’ hospitals, offering the highest levels of medical care to children. Over that time the hospital has grown to encompass many buildings across one site, all of which make it very difficult for visitors, patients, and staff to find their way around. Due to a major redevelopment program due to open in 2012, Great Ormond Street felt it was the perfect opportunity to review the way-finding and signage strategy.
The hospital’s philosophy, the child first and always was at the heart of Landor’s strategy. We needed a theme that everyone could relate to, yet would be fun for children. Naming had to be creative whilst adhering to strict criteria—no negative cultural connotations, not too abstract, and be simple for non-English speakers to pronounce. To satisfy Great Ormond’s requirements and having considered a range of options, we drew inspiration from the natural world - a theme that was already established within the hospital, and one which gave us the richness and diversity to create a captivating hospital environment.
In the final scheme we split floors into natural habitats from the oceans (lower ground floor) to the skies (top floor). We brought the concept to life by first creating a simple yet bold illustrative stylefor the animals and habitats, then demonstrating the character and attitude of each animal with animated guidelines.
Lesley Miles, Director of Marketing, Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity, commented, “We are delighted with the 'Natural World' way-finding system that Landor has created for Great Ormond Street Hospital. It met the exact brief we supplied in that it provides clear direction for visitors to find their way around the hospital and a charming and welcome distraction for our very young patients and their families. It engages adults and children on various levels and the personalities of the animals that Landor has created really shine through. Everyone we have shown the work to has been incredibly impressed and enthused - including our supporters, architects, staff and, of course, our patients.”

400

A small company that does a nice job of mixing art with design.
Good things come in small packages. So don't be fooled by our size, we do big things for big brands. Our roster includes household names like Royal Mail, Dell Computers and The Economist, to name but a few. It didn't happen over night either. We've been building up since 1989, offering loads of creative services like corporate communications, promotions and branding, new media, exhibitions and events, advertising, direct mail and editorial design.
How we do it is simple. We all put our heads together, including you. The better we get to know you and how you want to be recognized, the better your target will respond to our design. We don't want to just say that we're better, we want to show you. The work featured on our site contains examples of how we can take your project from an idea to a success story.
Our own success story can be attributed to many things, but we like to think it's because of our friendly attitude and our amazing designers. Working closely with our clients, we often act as an extension of your company, completely immersing ourselves in your business and the competitive environment that it sits in. That's where creativity that exceeds expectation thrives

Go Media

After looking into the zine, I then went on to look at the design agency that went behind it. I love the work they produce.

“Go Media was started in a bedroom of one of the founder’s parent’s homes. For the first several years the founders had little more than a drawing table and two computers. Despite their lack of clients and money they didn’t start the company by offering a list of expensive services or looking for large companies. Instead, they went on a search to find the type of design work that they truly loved: illustrative posters for the entertainment industry. This often required them to work for little or no money. It took over 7 years of hard work before Go Media was finally able to hire a staff of other talented designers.”
This is the homepage of their website. It is clear and to the point.

This is an outline of the services they provide.

They also do motion design, but I cannot find any links.

They are easily contactable.

Looking into this company has truly inspired me. There is not a piece of work I have seen by them that I do not like.
