Adam + Company

Adam + Company is an award-winning studio based in Boston. Since my work for Glayva in the YCN brief I have been very interested in work for alcohol (packaging and bottle design) and this is how I came across this studio. 
They also do a lot of work for the music industry. Doing album cover designs for people such as Madonna. Very impressive work.

Adam Larson
Founder/Principal
After 10 years working for various design and advertising agencies, in 2007, Adam Larson decided to open his own. He left Arnold, where he was a VP Creative Director, to open Adam&Co., a creative studio specializing in branding, packaging and identities.
Larson’s experience in design spans many disciplines, having worked with a wide range of clients, on an even wider range of projects. Throughout his career, he has lead creative initiatives for an impressive list of clients that include Absolut, Bravo, Nike, Virgin, Coca-Cola, Diesel, ESPN, Madonna, Samuel Adams, Estee Lauder, K. Swiss, Johnson & Johnson, Proctor & Gamble, The Truth Campaign, John Deere, Jack Daniels, MIT, and Harvard. He has worked with some of the world’s leading creative agencies including Arnold, Digitas, Razorfish, Mullen, Hill-Holiday, TBWA/Chiat Day, Mother, Crispin Porter Bogusky, Goodby Silverstein & Partners, Pentagram, and Landor.
Both his illustration and design work have been showcased in numerous books and magazines that focus on contemporary art and design. His work has received many design and advertising awards including The One Show, D&AD, The Kelly Awards, Cannes Lions, The Clio Awards, Communication Arts, and two Primetime Emmy Award nominations for his contributions to the truth campaign.

Campaign
In collaboration with Ness Higsonand Real Branding, Inc.Adam&Co. designed a viral campaign to announce the U.S. launch of Duvel Green.Our campaign used longitude and lattitude coordinates as a means for directing Duvel Seekers to the few, very select locations across the country where it can be found on-tap. Upon referencing the campaign, customers received a passport. At each location that they discover, they get a stamp, earning them greater access to branded giveaways and events.





Madonna
As her 25 year contract with Warner Brothers came to an end, Madonna was to release a definitive greatest hits record that would catalogue her career to date, simply titled “Hits”. Adam&Co. was invited to develop packaging concepts for the release. This concept illustrates a 6-panel digi-pak enclosed in a clear plastic, 1 color silk-screened sleeve. The digi-pak folds out to reveal Madonna posed in the sign of the cross. The booklet that accompanied the package was designed to resemble a bible. Each chapter containing text around each album of her career, accompanied by a unique illustration that references her stylings from that era.
